What Tenths does
- Notices when you drive and logs the route, miles and time on its own, with unlimited drives for free.
- Sorts drives with a swipe. Smart rules (Pro) learn your places and work hours, so most drives sort themselves.
- Prices each business drive at the IRS rate for its date, including 2026’s change from 72.5¢ to 76¢ on July 1.
- Reads business receipts on the phone, counts meals at 50% and keeps gas and repairs out of the total, since the mileage rate covers them.
- Checks your year the way an auditor would before you file, and makes a tax packet with the Schedule C numbers (Pro).
Bring your old trips
- Get your trips out of QuickBooks as a CSV file. An Excel file works too once you save it as CSV in Numbers or Excel.
- Save it to Files, or email it to yourself.
- Open it with Tenths, or go to Settings › Your data › Import from another app.
Tenths finds the date, miles, places and purpose columns on its own, even when the file starts with a title or a summary. You see the drives and the deduction before anything is added, and drives already in your log are skipped. The file is read on your iPhone and never uploaded.
What it costs
Tracking, sorting, expenses and the audit-ready check are free. Tenths Pro adds PDF and CSV exports, the tax packet, smart rules, more vehicles and iCloud sync: $39.99 a year with the first 14 days free, $4.99 a month, or $99.99 once. If Pro ever costs more, subscribers keep the price they have for as long as they stay subscribed.
Your data stays yours
There’s no account to make. Your drives stay on your iPhone, and in your private iCloud only if you turn on sync. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
